Our logo was created by the celebrated designer Alexander Isley (left). He heads an award-winning Connecticut-based design and communication firm focused on cultural, educational and cause-related organizations. And, of course, the occasional festival.
Says Alex: “We wanted to create a mark that is distinctive, iconic and spirited. It’s a custom-drawn letter that can be woven into a variety of applications with curlicues and filigrees. This ornate visual tapestry represents to me the serious and unexpected fun of the Grand Weekend experience.”
The “G” letterform was illustrated by renowned typographer Gerard Huerta (right), who has created iconic logos and letterforms across a wide spectrum of industries. “My input was to draw and design a decorative “G” based on the client’s excellent direction.”
